KPNZ is an independent television station serving the Salt Lake City, Utah television market. Ownership of the Los Angeles-based Liberman Broadcasting broadcast a wide range of Spanish-language programming.
History
The station signed on in 1998 as KAZG, what happened in Salt Lake City Market UPN affiliate, which will replace the former affiliate KJZZ TV in January 2001. This change came as the result of several factors, primarily disagreement about the affiliate fees preventive conditions, which KJZZ property, such as lack of financial sustainability of cities and thematic programs in Salt Lake City market. Digital TV
When he got the original construction permit after the FCC finalized the DTV allocation plan for the 21st April 1997 [2], the station did not receive a companion channel for digital television stations. Legal battle
In May 2005, fired staff, Director and Accounting Manager Brad Brewer of KPNZ for embezzlement. Shortly thereafter, in July 2005, Mr. Brewer, director Kurt Gentry and Transport Manager Bonnie Dunn was originally arrested in Salt Lake City police charged with theft, fraud and forgery. Charges against the Gentry dropped after the investigating authority Salt Lake District Attorney. Dunn charges were dismissed in court as well. Brewer was charged with 31 counts of independent and has since settled. All charges were dropped or dismissed. The circumstances of his arrest and removal KPNZ is still unclear, but many legends have been published associates, former employees and customers.
